Jeffrey Cheung is a Chinese-American artist born in Castro Valley, USA, in 1989, he lives and works in Oakland, USA. Recent solo or two person exhibitions include Dream, 2021, New Image Art, Los Angeles, USA, Window, Alice Gallery, 2021, Brussels, Belgium, Summer Drawings, 2020, BimBam Gallery, Paris, France and Tangle 2019, Hashimoto Contemporary, San Francisco, USA. Cheung’s work has been included in group exhibitions at Jeffrey Deitch, Los Angeles, USA and V1 Gallery, Copenhagen, Denmark, amongst many others.
Cheung is a multidisciplinary artist, skateboarder, musician, activist, publisher and DIY enthusiast. He co-founded and runs the platform Unity Skateboarding with his partner Gabriel Ramirez. The aim of Unity is to give visibility and community to skaters, Queer and Trans Black, Indigenous, People of Color (QTBIPOC), and Asian Americans while challenging mainstream perceptions of each group. He plays in two punk bands; Meat Market and Unity.
