Francesco Igory Deiana is an Italian artist, born in Milan in 1986, he lives and works in Brooklyn, New York, USA. Deiana graduated from Hajech Brera Art School in Milan, Italy, in 2005. From 2010-2015 he worked as an assistant for the artist Barry McGee in San Francisco, California, USA. In 2018 he moved to New York, USA, and became a member of the artist Tom Sachs studio team. Since 2019 Deiana has focused exclusively on his own practice.
Recent group shows include Light Seed Gallery, 2022, Watarium Museum, Tokyo, Japan, The Line Within the Thread, 2021, Christian Berst Art Brut, Paris, France, Mixed Pickles, 2020, Rüttkowski 68 Gallery, Cologne Germany and Bohemian Centipede, 2019, SCOOTERS FOR PEACE Gallery, Tokyo, Japan.
Deiana’s work has also been included in group exhibitions at V1 Gallery, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Deiana will later this year publish a book in collaboration with friend and photographer Leonardo Scotti based on the relation between friends and their mystic adventures touring around America. The book contains imagery of created illusions within nature and is titled Gardens of March.
